Survival Lesson # 7: Participate in local government while promoting Surviving Class principles
Survival Lessons to save the Surviving Class
I start each of these Survival Lessons with a reference to Orwell’s Nineteen Eighty-Four novel. The Ruling Class (Big Brother) in the novel not only sought complete control over its subjects. It also sought to dehumanize them and destroy their human spirits. Subjects with no human spirit are ever pliable to whimsical Ruling Class needs. Subjects with a destroyed human spirit will never be a challenge to the authority of the Ruling Class.
Now to start about this survival lesson about local government. Here is a useful quote:
The State governments possess inherent advantages, which will ever give them an influence and ascendancy over the National Government, and will for ever preclude the possibility of federal encroachments. That their liberties, indeed, can be subverted by the federal head, is repugnant to every rule of political calculation.
Alexander Hamilton
No doubt Hamilton is rolling in his grave about the reach of National Government today. Hamilton could only be true if local and State citizens were aware and active. There are two important avenues for local control that can promote Surviving Class principles. They are local school board and election poll worker participation.
Local School Board Participation
Citizen oversight of local government is the cornerstone of democracy in the United States. School board members are locally elected public officials entrusted with governing a community’s public schools. The role of the school board is to ensure that school districts are responsive to the values, beliefs and priorities of their communities.

California School Board Association
In today’s times, it is ironic that these citations are from California.
We live in an era where our western civilization, culture, values and ancestry are under siege. As was pointed out in Theme 150, our history and culture are erased, vandalized and constantly rewritten in a context of engendering self-loathing and division. Increasingly toxic and divisive ideas have been incorporated into school curriculum and operations. Here are some examples:
Critical Race Theory, where a child is taught that a person is first judged by his/her skin color versus the “content of their character.”
Gender Fluidity where young children are introduced to the idea that the biological sex of their birth is now their choice.
Pornography and pedophilia are now available as illustrated lessons in classrooms and books in school libraries.
Slavery is a uniquely American sin, versus the leadership that the United States took in abolishing slavery on the world stage.
America’s colonizing heritage that invalidates any “white” legitimacy to be living on lands belong to original peoples of the Americas.
This list can continue. The idea is that all of these ideas promote self-loathing or anger among young students. Division is a desired outcome. The Ruling Class through the teacher and administrator unions Enabling Class desires and nurtures this division as it increases opportunities to expand its power at the local level. Many school boards are active supporters of this self-loathing and divisiveness.
Local school board participation is a Surviving Class response. This participation can come in the form of being elected to the local school board. Participation can also be realized through attending and perhaps speaking at local school board meetings. It might also be possible and necessary to bring legal action against school boards who might be in violation of laws governing their official duties.
The video below is an example of initiation legal action against a school board. “Miki Klann declares her intention to file a claim against the Governor’s surety bond on behalf of the SCOTTSDALE SCHOOL board members. Each member of the board will be charged with practicing medicine without a license, child abuse, segregation and inappropriate sexual material in the school libraries.”
Through active participation the prevailing toxic school curriculum ideas can be transformed back to Surviving Class principals.
Become an Election Poll Worker
It is ironic that the United States shamefully leads the world in voting vulnerabilities. Here are some of these vulnerabilities that promoted distrust in 2020 US election results:
Mail in votes to those not requesting them and returned vote counts that exceeded official votes mailed in the first place.
Vote harvesting
Mail in votes that did not have matching signatures
Big tech oligarch spending hundreds of millions of dollars in selective election “assistance”
Extending accepted mail-in votes far past election
Shielding election observers from vote tabulations and signature checks
etc.
A crucial Surviving Class lesson is that more Surviving Class eyes at election precincts will help to minimize election cheating attempts and hopefully increase confidence that election conspiracies are untrue.
Here is an excerpt from the US Election Assistance Commission:
Be an Election Worker! Election workers are essential to ensuring that elections are a success. With each election, millions of Americans dedicate themselves to sustaining the backbone of democracy - our election process. EAC encourages those interested in becoming election workers at the polls on election day to learn more about what is required and how to sign up to work with your local election official.
Get started and find out if you are eligible. Go to the State Compendium of Election Worker Laws and Statutes.
Find out if you must be a registered voter in the state.
Find out if there is an age requirement.
Find out if there is a residency requirement.
Find out if a political party affiliation is required.
Then contact your local election office and sign up to be an Election Worker. They'd be happy to add you to the Election Day Team!
Many of us in society have been complacent about the workings of local government, especially school boards and election monitoring. This complacency has enabled the Ruling Class to exert unnoticed influence for its objectives through the Enabling Class. The election process of 2020 and the school board meetings of 2021 are instructive that the Surviving Class is sensing that it and its human spirit are at risk. Active local participation can reverse this complacency.
