History is erased, vandalized and constantly rewritten
Theme 150: evidence of growing #RulingClass authoritative power; diminished human lives for the Surviving Class [updated 2024 01 28]
Public education has been chipping away at the nobility and validity of US history and culture. Focus has been on historical failings of men and women who would certainly behave differently in today's culture. The Ruling Class supports these assaults on history so that it can induce self-loathing and reinforce its present control and more firmly control the future.
George Orwell quote: 'Those who control the present, control the past and those who control the past control the future.'
Ruling Class manipulation of history has been manifested in these activities:
Past news articles are rewritten to change history to better sync with Ruling Class narratives of present
Streets and buildings renamed
Founders of country being reclassified as racists
Scientists who fall out of favor are erased from history
Statues being decapitated and destroyed
Public buildings are burned
Books are burned
Education books written to focus on historical failings
Leaders who fall out of favor are erased.
Moments for national affirmation are converted into protests
Heroic periods of national history are deleted from education
Classical cultural works of literature and music are forgotten
Michael Bonner via Epoch Times: “The Obsession With Sweeping Away The Past Is Highly Destructive For Civilization”
Futurism could be considered the Mother of All Ideologies.
In Italy, the Futurists turned Fascist. They were Bolsheviks in Russia, and Nazis elsewhere. They all agreed with Marinetti’s vision: progress meant repudiating and destroying the past. In the fascist utopia, the state would serve only the strong. Communism would usher in the dictatorship of the proletariat. Nazism reimagined the Marxist class struggle as a conflict among races, and envisioned the end point of history as the thousand-year Reich. These Golden Ages all lay ahead, owing nothing to history. And, as Marinetti seemed to foresee, they would take shape amidst obscene destruction and murder.
Foreshadowed in Nineteen Eighty-Four novel: History, even news items, were constantly rewritten to conform to latest Ruling Class narratives. No books, literature or music were permitted outside of Ruling Class production and approval. All icons of the past were destroyed to invent history for “Big Brother” heroics.
