Survival Lesson # 1: Call out the Ruling Class by its proper name
Survival Lessons to save the Surviving Class. #RulingClass, #SurvivingClass [updated 12 19 2022]
I start each of these Survival Lessons with a reference to Orwell’s Nineteen Eighty-Four novel. The Ruling Class in the novel not only sought complete control over its subjects. It also sought to destroy their human spirits. Subjects with no human spirit are ever pliable to whimsical Ruling Class needs. Subjects with a destroyed human spirit will never be a challenge to the authority of the Ruling Class.
Confucius stated that “The beginning of wisdom is to call things by their proper name.”
I have started the process of proper naming of political classes with the Ruling (RC), Enabling (EC) and Surviving (SC) Classification names. These names define the expected behaviors of members within the groupings as well as how the groupings might interact with each other. In my research, extended by artificial intelligence over the past five years, these classification names have yielded superior predictive results. See Three Societal Classes for Superior Predictions.
A driver for these classification names was the futility of predicting behaviors with uninformative political names like these: Liberal, Conservative, Progressive, Party X, Party Y, Left, Right, Red, Blue, Green, Capitalist, Socialist, Communist, Main Stream, Elite, etc. My classification names are verbs that directly relate to the actions and motivations of the members within the groupings. The Ruling Class wants to rule. The Enabling Class enables the Ruling Class. And the Surviving Class wants to survive.
Survival Lesson #1: Use the Ruling Class name as an informative substitute for most political names commonly used today.
The lesson here is that Surviving Class members need a superior situational awareness of dangerous authoritative political themes that are adverse to Surviving Class interests. This awareness can only start with the proper name of the source that is promoting the growing authoritative society. That source name is the Ruling Class.
This lesson recommends that the Surviving Class substitute most of the above uninformative political names with the Ruling Class name when they communicate. The Surviving Class also needs to make similar mental substitutions with information that is read and heard.
Existing Political Naming in the United States
The Predominant National Political Party
There is a predominant political party at the national level. (The United States was designed for few political parties.) As a national political party, they are Ruling Class. At this present time the Ruling Class controls the office of the President as well as the Senate and Congress. Disagreements among these Ruling Class members are rare. All three of these government bodies are Ruling Class.
Substitution: Party X [Ruling Class] President
Substitution: Party X [Ruling Class] Senator
Substitution: Party X [Ruling Class] Congressperson
The Subordinate National Political Party
There is a subordinate political party at the national level. As a national political party, they are also Ruling Class, doing so with a bit of kabuki theater. The theater is a way for the subordinate party to appear to be representing the Surviving Class. In reality, the minority Ruling Class party is mostly serving the interests of Ruling Class donors and avoiding the wrath of Enabling Class media. Toxic behavior of the predominant Ruling Class party against the Surviving Class is often met with silence and inaction by the subordinate Ruling Class.
Substitution: Party Y [Ruling Class] Senator
Substitution: Party Y [Ruling Class] Congressperson
Emerald Robinson: “American voters now understand: all the Democrats are Democrats, and most Republicans are Democrats too.”
In other words, all one big Ruling and Enabling class in spite of any party name in the United States. Other counties, the story is the same.
There are exceptions within the subordinate national political party. Exceptions become noticeable when the Ruling and Enabling Classes target individuals of the subordinate political party with media criticism, illegal information leaking and even unethical investigations and prosecutions. These targeted politicians might actually be serving the Surviving Class.
Comedian Russell Brand calls our attention that Democrat versus Republican; Liberal versus Conservative are often illusions. Both are often the same Enabling Class, seeking a pat on the head from the Ruling Class at the expense of the Surviving Class.
State Governors
State governors are most likely to be Ruling Class, similar to national party politicians. Some governors might be Surviving Class, as identified by Ruling and Enabling Classes attacks.
Substitution: Party X [Ruling Class] Governor
Substitution: Party Y [Ruling Class] Governor
Big City Mayors
Most Big City mayors in the United States is are of the dominant national political party. As such these mayors are Ruling Class. The media in these cities is uniformly Enabling Class.
Substitution: Party Y [Ruling Class] Mayor
The use of the Ruling Class name is simple. And with this simplicity comes the potential for powerful communication and understanding. Trivial political arguments about Party X versus Party Y; left versus right, are avoided. Deep seated emotional triggers are preempted. The deeds of the Ruling Class are clearly spoken or interpreted in the context of Ruling Class motivations, actions, outcomes and history. The Ruling Class can be correctly interpreted as “The rulers exerting their power over me.”
With this lesson, the Ruling Class reality is better understood and communicated. A start to superior survival wisdom is achieved with the proper name of the Ruling Class.
